Multiple accounts can also help here even though you won't climb on your main account, you get to play almost twice as many drafts with the same amount of gems, which helps you improve much more quickly.Core Set 2021 is out on Magic Arena today and that means it’s time to start firing up new events and claim your rewards. I recommend watching high-level streamers such as Ben Stark, listening to podcasts such as Limited Resources and Lords of Limited, and playing a shit ton of drafts. If you want to reach Mythic, there's no way to do that without getting significantly better at draft. Traditional pairs you against anyone in the queue, so you are less likely to face a strong opponent, but the reward structure is abysmal for anyone who can't consistently go 2-1. This doesn't apply to you, but I'm including it for completeness: If you still have a decent winrate at Platinum but you want the competition to be slightly less tough, switch to Traditional Draft. As a bonus, a new account starts in Bronze, so you can climb the ranks back to Platinum instead of struggling at Platinum on your main account. (For example, if you usually win 4 games per day, switch to winning 3 games per day on your main account and 1 on a side account.) This gives you much more gold overall since you get 3 quests per account, not just 3 quests total. If you want to draft as much as possible and don't care about Constructed, start one or two alternate accounts and split your daily wins between them. ![]() Even a poor record can still be better value than buying packs if you pick every rare you see. If you want to complete the rares from the set for Constructed, keep playing Quick Draft whenever the format is Strixhaven. ![]() Depending on what your goals are, there are several different things you can do about it: As other people have said, the draft ranking drops at the end of the month, although it doesn't reset completely.
